At MITIE, we believe you don’t always have to do things the same way. We don’t and that’s why we get better and better. 

We are applying our extensive experience of integrated FM within the education sector to make our schools altogether safer, cleaner and greener environments in which people can work and learn. 

One way we are making our schools safer is through our support with the design process and development of the educational vision to deliver a safer school environment for staff, students and other visitors using the facilities.  This was recently done at Brentside High School, making them the first secondary school in the UK to achieve the new police approved Secured Environments award.  

Not only do we strive to create a safer environment in our schools, we also work to create a cleaner one.  A good example of this is being delivered at Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhymni, in Wales.  Through the use of a waste compactor, we are reducing waste collections and resulting CO2 emissions.
